We continue to rescue nutritious, fresh food from supermarkets and restaurants and deliver it free to those in need in our community. The pantry may also be able to deliver food to pantries, food banks and other nonprofit organizations. Community members can register with their local WIC office to enroll, certify or receive future nutrition benefits, help with breastfeeding, or answer questions. Every day, we work to alleviate hunger by working with 12 regional food banks in Northern California, Nevada and beyond.
The pantry can provide food, clothing, dried goods, canned food and other essentials, or the site can have dried goods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables for the needy in the region.
There is also a free senior food box, which is provided in the pantry to ensure that there is enough food for the elderly and to promote the health and well-being of the elderly.
The case management also directs families to government and state aid, including SNAP food stamps and USDA meals. Donations, which came from in-store and online customers from November 2 to December 31, will provide more than three million meals to people affected by food insecurity in Northern California and Nevada. Donate the following amounts to fund the meals: $1,000 to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano County, $2,500 to Oakland Food and $3,200 to Oakley Food.
We partner with the Trinity Center in Walnut Creek and serve dining rooms in Oakley, Martinez, Antioch and Pittsburg. Meals are served in front of the door, in the dining room and in the grocery store.
